As a longtime client of Willow & Blake for both of my brands, I'm thrilled to read this news. Please keep us posted on your publication date.

Thanks Nina, that means a lot to me. We always love working with you, I CD’d your first project with us (which Sharma designed) and remember it so well.

This is so helpful, thanks! I have 2 questions:

- would you recommend the same process for a fiction book

- is it even worth pitching if you have a very small following/community?

You're very welcome!

I am currently writing a fiction book and the process is very different. Publishers want to see a finished manuscript, not a proposal, at least for first time authors. I'll be working on it for 1-2 years I imagine before I take the proposal anywhere (if ever?).

I would definitely still pitch with a small community, it's not a deal breaker for a great idea but I was surprised at how much emphasis was placed on it.

Thanks! I’m starting the fiction journey but have a non-fiction idea too, it’s handy to know the processes are quite different 🙂

This!!! I have an 8 week old on my hands and a written book for kids aged 0-99. I’d love to find an editor and publisher- who do you recommend? I get the feeling you know what it’s like to have a baby and to be breastfeeding round the clock- I’d love some help to get my book out

It’s a children’s book. But also for adults as most kids books are.

I think it depends on your book, but I found Simon & Shuster (and their Affirm press imprint) very impressive and aligned. What type of book are you writing?
