Hi, I’m Jess. A Mother of two beautiful girls and 2 x founder (frank body/Willow & Blake) who has built over $1b worth of consumer brands. Now I write about life, productivity, branding and happiness, & how discovering your true values to build a life you love is priceless.

You can learn more about my work here.

What in the world is a brand world?

Let’s cut to the chase: brand’s have always created “worlds”, but the way in which they create them shifts over time like a tectonic plate, ebbing and flowing with the gravitational pulls of the cultural zeitgeist and emerging technology.

The reason I don’t love the emerging brand world discourse is because it is just jargon that doesn’t add any value. It’s the new “brand triangle,” all theory and posturing, not enough doing. Building great brands isn’t easy in that you need to be brave, comfortable with risk and highly original to build something truly memorable, but the process itself doesn’t need to be complicated. Take it from me, I’ve built a lot of brands.

In today’s newsletter let’s explore the fundamentals of building a great brand, including the steps I have taken time and time again (for 15 years) to build over $1b worth of consumer brands all over the world, in every category.
